Coagula Weekend Bender January 2
By coagula | January 5, 2010 - 12:11 am - Posted in Weekend Bender, harley

The art world in L.A. did not miss a beat, hosting openings all over town during the first weekend of the year. Forget the bad art rolling down the streets of Pasadena and check out the happenings. One show we missed was? Shizu Saldamando at Steve Turner on Wilshire, but you cannot hit every opening (but given a month you can hit every show so you have no excuses … especially if you went on a weekend bender with us!).

AS ALWAYS: CLick the images here to see them bigger and more detailed…

VICTOR BALOGH‘s installation and the crowd there to see it and see him at THE THINKERY.

The crowd at Chinatown’s JANCAR GALLERY to see tandem solo shows upstairs by Alison Foshee and Leslie Kneisel.

The scene was more contemplative downstairs in the JANCAR GALLERY basement to see NICK AGID’s fantastic new work.

Artist KEIKO INOH at her L2Kontemporary Gallery show.

L.A. art scene veteran NICK AGID at his JANCAR GALLERY exhibit opening.

Artist VICTOR BALOGH amidst his installation exhibit at THE THINKERY, and edgy new underground L.A. space.

  • About Coagula

The Print edition of Coagula Art Journal was founded in 1992 as an antidote to the theory-addled and fashion-driven forces in the world of contemporary art.

Coagula remains clarity amidst the ambiguty of contemporary art and the neutered, star-struck art world; we don't fuck around here.
